It’s perfect for those who like the idea of staying in the same hotel every night and exploring the area around Marrakech through a variety of day trips. This tour will take you to the highlights in Marrakech and show you some of the natural beauty in the surrounding area.

Day 1

Arrive and

Explore

Marrakech

We will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. After you have time to relax and freshen up, we will take you on a tour of the Red City with a professional guide who will tell you about the sites and their historical context.

Known as the Red City because of the colour of the walls that surround the old Kasbah, Marrakech has been a popular tourist destination since the 1960s. Its famous Djemaa el-Fnaa square is the busiest square in Africa with a colourful market and an unparalleled assortment of vendors and entertainers including fire-eaters, snake charmers, belly dancers, acrobats, and astrologers.

After the tour, we will take you for a nice “Welcome to Morocco” dinner.

Day 2

Savour

Marrakech

In the morning, we will take you for a Moroccan cooking class. You will shop for the food in the market and then learn how to cook local favourites. This is a true cultural experience and a highlight for many visitors to Morocco. The cooking class ends around 2:00 pm and you will have the option of experiencing a hamman – a traditional Moroccan spa - in the afternoon. Take in the steamy and spice-infused atmosphere that awakens the senses. This unique experience has become cherished by visitors from around the world. Then relax and enjoy a massage. If you’d prefer you can enjoy some shopping, explore the medina, or relax at your hotel in the afternoon.

In the evening, we will take you for a traditional Moroccan dinner with local entertainment.

Day 3

Cascades d’Ouzoud

(Ouzoud Waterfalls)

After breakfast at your hotel, we will drive 150 km northeast of Marrakech to the majestic Cascades d’Ouzoud (Ouzoud Waterfalls). Ouzoud means “the act of grinding grain” in the Berber language. These spectacular falls are about 110m in height and have 3 major drops, the largest about 75m. Bring your walking shoes so that you can explore the lush area at your own pace, visit a café or restaurant for lunch, and enjoy a swim in the refreshing water. Also be on the lookout for the Barbary macaque monkeys. After a full day, we will return to Marrakech for dinner.

Day 4

Essaouira

After breakfast, we will take you on a day trip to the coastal city of Essaouira. Essaouira is quaint fishing town with a laid-back vibe and great seafood. We will enjoy a tour of the medina, which is much less hectic than its bigger brother in Marrakech. Surfing is also available in this area and can also be arranged for you.

Soak in the sunset with a delicious dinner to top off your coastal experience.

Day 5

More Marrakech

After many early days, we will enjoy a relaxed day in Marrakech. On this day you can choose whether you would like to visit the Jardin Marjorelles, soak in a hammam, further explore Djemma el-Fnaa or shop for carpets, spices, ceramics or many of the other unique treasures found in Morocco.

Day 6

Ourika Valley

We will take a day trip to the Ourika Valley, a lush expanse located in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains just 30 km from Marrakech. This area is great for hiking in the summer and also offers skiing in the winter. We will visit traditional Berber villages in the area including the main settlement of Setti Fatma, and see a series of 7 waterfalls. Then we will return to Marrakech for a nice dinner.

Day 7

Breakfast, Relax, Until We Meet Again

Relax and enjoy your breakfast before we will take you to the airport in plenty of time for your flight. If your flight is later in the day, you can spend some time at a café or the market or we can arrange for another tour/experience in Marrakech for you before your flight.
